Rokstone, an international specialty re/insurance MGA, has unveiled open access to its Limits of Indemnity (LOI) calculator, aimed at aiding brokers in determining appropriate indemnity limits for D&O (Directors and Officers) insurance clients.

The newly accessible tool, now freely available on Rokstone’s website, furnishes brokers with insights to facilitate informed decisions and tailor insurance solutions to the specific needs of individual businesses.

Developed to address the challenge of accurately assessing indemnity limits for commercial clients, the LOI calculator takes into account various factors such as ownership status, business size, and exposure across different sectors and territories.

The rollout follows a series of successful broker trials, highlighting the calculator’s integration into Rokstone’s ongoing efforts to bolster broker support with innovative solutions.

Jimmy Heaton, Head of D&O at Rokstone, emphasized the significance of the release for the company’s D&O segment, stating, “We are delighted to provide brokers with this open access resource. It reflects our underwriting appetite and underscores our commitment to enabling well-informed decision-making.”

In addition to the LOI calculator, Rokstone intends to further bolster support for the brokerage community by expanding its D&O Academy offerings.

The CPD-approved program encompasses a wide array of D&O topics, furnishing essential training in policy coverage, financial analysis, and claims handling skills.

In a separate development, Rokstone revealed its acquisition of a trading box at Lloyd’s of London, marking a significant stride in its operational capabilities. Under a three-year agreement, the company secured box 335 on gallery three.

This new presence at Lloyd’s will host Rokstone’s underwriting teams specializing in property, marine, aviation, contingency, construction, and energy portfolios.

CEO James Potter expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “We are thrilled to establish our presence on the Lloyd’s trading floor, providing brokers with direct access to some of the world’s leading underwriters in the Specialty classes they require.”
