Cambodia’s insurance sector experienced an 11% year-on-year (YoY) increase in gross premiums for November, reaching $25.6 million, according to data from the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia. This figure slightly surpassed the $24.9 million recorded in October.
The life insurance segment saw a notable 12.5% YoY growth, totaling $15.6 million, while the number of policies issued surged by an extraordinary 365.9%, reaching 289,650 policies.
In contrast, the general insurance sector grew more modestly, with a YoY increase of 8.6%, bringing in $10 million. However, the number of general insurance policies declined by 16.1%, totaling 20,309 policies during the same period.
