Aon has announced the launch of its Life and Health Reinsurance Practice in India, aiming to attract capital into the sector and improve client decision-making.
Renuka Nar has been appointed as the head of broking for this new practice. She will report directly to Shailendra Sapra, CEO of Reinsurance Solutions at Aon India.
Nar, who previously worked with broker Howden, will be responsible for overseeing the development of Aon’s life and health reinsurance services. Her role includes shaping the business strategy and fostering collaboration with reinsurance markets across the Asia Pacific region.
In addition, Neha Shah, formerly with Gen Re India, has joined Aon as the practice’s chief actuary. Shah will also report to Sapra and will lead the development of Aon’s actuarial services, support strategy execution, and collaborate with both regional and international reinsurance teams.
The new practice will offer clients access to Aon’s proprietary tools, including the Life Risk Modelling Suite, which leverages the GPU-based PathWise engine. This suite provides automated solutions for pricing, projections, valuation, and hedging, ensuring speed and efficiency.
