Allianz Partners has announced the appointment of Dominic Gantner as the new managing director for Greater Southeast Asia (GSEA), effective March 1. Gantner succeeds Steve Watkins, who is retiring after more than 20 years with the company.
In his new role, Gantner will be responsible for overseeing Allianz Partners’ operations in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. He will report directly to Vinay Surana, regional managing director for Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa.
Gantner joined Allianz Partners in 2019 and previously served as Chief Sales Officer and managing director for Southeast Europe. During his tenure, he led the company’s growth across 12 markets.
With a strong background in Mobile Device and Digital Risk, Roadside Assistance, and Mobility businesses, Gantner has worked closely with brokers, banks, and Allianz Operating Entities. Before his time at Allianz Partners, he held leadership positions in Germany, the UK, and Austria. Gantner holds a Master of Business Administration.
