New Health Insurance Policy Covers Comprehensive Medical Treatments
Shriram General Insurance (SGIC) has introduced its first indemnity-based health insurance policy, the Shri Health Suraksha Plan. This new offering is designed to cover a wide range of medical treatments, including modern medical procedures and AYUSH therapies, ensuring comprehensive healthcare support for policyholders.
The policy allows for cashless treatment at over 13,000 network hospitals nationwide, providing both individual and family coverage options. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden of medical emergencies, with a focus on accessible and quality healthcare for all.
Anil Aggarwal, Managing Director and CEO of SGIC, emphasized that the plan is structured to safeguard individuals from financial strain during critical health situations. He also pointed out that the plan’s premiums are highly competitive, particularly for family floater options, making it an attractive choice for families seeking affordable health insurance.
Key benefits of the policy include coverage for hospitalisation expenses such as room charges, ICU fees, doctor’s consultations, ambulance services, and daycare procedures. The plan offers flexibility, covering individuals from as young as three months to senior citizens, including parents and in-laws.
Policyholders can select from a variety of sum-insured options and enjoy a cumulative bonus for every claim-free year. Additionally, the plan provides a grace period of 15 to 30 days, depending on the premium payment mode, ensuring that policyholders can maintain continuity benefits.
With the Shri Health Suraksha Plan, SGIC aims to provide a comprehensive and affordable healthcare solution, catering to the diverse needs of families across India.
