Canopius Group has appointed Paul Hackett as its new Regional Head of Distribution for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, effective March 1. Hackett will continue in his current role as Head of Marine for APAC, as well as the Middle East & North Africa (MENA), and will also join the APAC Executive Committee.
In his expanded role, Hackett will oversee Canopius’ APAC distribution strategy, with a focus on enhancing broker engagement across the region. He will report directly to Soon Keen (SK) Lee, CEO of Canopius APAC and MENA, and Sam Harrison, Chief Underwriting Officer of Canopius Group.
With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Hackett brings extensive expertise in marine and specialty lines to his new position.
