Miller has announced the formation of a new M&A and Strategic Solutions (MASS) team within its Professional & Financial Risks division. The team, focused on transactional risk insurance, will also develop specialist tax and contingent risk practices.
Andrew Johnson and Edwina Charlton have been appointed to lead the global team, with Rupert Newman joining as the Head of Broking. Johnson, in addition to leading the MASS team, will play a role in supporting Miller’s broader growth strategies.
Both Johnson and Charlton bring over 20 years of experience as M&A lawyers in London and Asia. Prior to joining Miller, they transitioned to the insurance sector with Marsh.
The MASS team will provide advisory services to private equity firms, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, corporations, law firms, and corporate financiers. Operating from London, the team will focus on both domestic and international risks.
