Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has completed its acquisition of the remaining shares of Philpacific Insurance Brokers & Managers, Inc. (Philinsure), a commercial insurance and reinsurance broker based in the Philippines. This follows a previous minority investment in the company.
Philinsure, which is headquartered in Cebu City, operates additional offices in Manila and Davao City. The firm is known for its expertise in the insurance and reinsurance sectors across the Philippines.
Gordon Joseph and his leadership team will continue to oversee operations, now under the guidance of Sarah Lyons, who manages Gallagher’s retail property and casualty brokerage business in Australia and Asia.
J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr., chairman and CEO of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., stated that this acquisition bolsters the company’s retail brokerage presence in Asia, marking a significant step in its regional expansion.
