Marsh has appointed Andrew George as the new President of Marsh Specialty, effective immediately. George, who brings over 35 years of experience at Marsh, will be based in London and report directly to Martin South, President and CEO of Marsh.
In a related announcement, John Donnelly, the current President of Global Placement, will transition to report to South and relocate from London to New York in the coming months. Both George and Donnelly will also join the Marsh Executive Committee.
As President of Marsh Specialty, George will oversee the company’s global business, which includes practices in Aviation, Climate & Sustainability, Construction, Credit Specialties, Energy & Power, Financial and Professional Lines (FINPRO), Marine & Cargo, and Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions (PEMA).
George’s career at Marsh includes leadership positions within the company’s Energy Practice across multiple regions. He was named Global Chairman of the Energy Practice in 2012 and expanded his responsibilities in 2015 to lead the Energy & Power Practice.
