Investment management company AllianceBernstein (AB) has announced the appointment of Bob Sharma as its new Head of Insurance for Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC). Sharma will focus on strengthening AB’s relationships with insurance clients and expanding its services in these key regions.
Sharma brings over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, specializing in insurance and asset management. He joins AB from Conning, where he served as Managing Director for Europe and Asia. Before that, he held leadership roles at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, working closely with insurers on investment strategies.
Insurance companies are major investors, managing large portfolios to meet future policyholder claims. Asset managers like AB help insurers grow their funds through stocks, bonds, and other investments. With Sharma’s expertise, AB aims to provide better solutions for insurers navigating market risks and regulatory changes.
