In addition to strengthening its market position, the merger aims to enhance the company’s compliance framework, particularly in response to recent incidents involving price-fixing and information leakage. The consolidated entity could potentially secure the largest market share in Japan’s non-life insurance sector, reinforcing MS&AD’s competitive standing.
