Willis, a part of WTW, has appointed Anant Pawar as the new leader of its Aviation & Space division in India.
In his new role, Pawar will deliver aviation insurance broking services and develop customized solutions for clients across the country.
Pawar brings over 27 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. His expertise spans aviation, space, reinsurance, and liability sectors.
He has led several key initiatives during his career, including securing a Lloyd’s license for operations in India and expanding the capacity of Managing General Agents (MGAs) to form an India-focused Aviation Consortium.
Before joining Willis, Pawar held senior leadership positions at Global Insurance Brokers Private Limited (GIB), where he played a key role in driving the firm’s growth.
His appointment reflects Willis’s focus on strengthening its aviation insurance capabilities in a fast-growing market.
