Allianz Trade has announced a leadership change in the Asia Pacific region. Rodrigo Jimenez will step in as Regional CEO, replacing Paul Flanagan after his long career.
New leadership begins in October 2025
Allianz Trade has confirmed that Rodrigo Jimenez will take on the role of Asia Pacific Regional CEO starting 1 October 2025.
He will succeed Paul Flanagan, who is retiring after 34 years with the company.
Transition period begins in July
To ensure a smooth handover, Allianz Trade will begin a transition period on 1 July 2025. During this time, Jimenez and Flanagan will work together before the official leadership change in October.
Jimenez brings global experience
Jimenez has been with Allianz Trade since 2014, when he started as CEO in Brazil. In 2021, he moved to Northern Europe, where he served as Regional Commercial Director. He was also part of the Regional Management Team.
In that role, Jimenez helped grow the business, kept clients engaged, and collaborated with the Risk department to manage portfolios effectively.
Educational background
Rodrigo Jimenez holds an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral and a degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo. His academic background and leadership skills have played a key role in his success at Allianz Trade.

With this appointment, Allianz Trade aims to strengthen its leadership in the Asia Pacific region. Jimenez’s international experience is expected to help drive continued growth and support for customers across the region.
