Zurich Insurance has announced key leadership changes in its Singapore Commercial Insurance business, appointing Christy Yeo and Wendy Ong to lead major segments.
Zurich Strengthens Leadership in Singapore
Zurich Insurance Company (Singapore) Ltd. has appointed two new leaders to its Commercial Insurance business. Christy Yeo is now the head of Property, while Wendy Ong has been named head of Financial Lines.
Strategic Roles with Broader Oversight
In their new roles, both Yeo and Ong will lead underwriting operations and help carry out strategic goals across Zurich Singapore. They bring deep experience and strong leadership backgrounds to the company.
Christy Yeo Takes Charge of Property Segment
Christy Yeo has worked at Zurich for 12 years. Before this appointment, she led the Upstream Energy division. She will continue to manage that portfolio while taking on her new role. Yeo has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Wendy Ong Leads Financial Lines
Wendy Ong joined Zurich in 2018. She recently managed Directors & Officers (D&O) and Financial Institutions products. Ong also led the wholesale facultative reinsurance strategy for Financial Lines. Her experience will be key in developing Zurich’s offerings in this space.
Reporting Structure
Both Yeo and Ong will report directly to Alexandra Cowley, Zurich Singapore’s Chief Underwriting Officer. The appointments are part of Zurich’s effort to strengthen leadership and support business growth in the region.
