RACV has officially opened its newly expanded Ballarat store, offering members and customers a wider range of services—including exclusive travel deals and expert travel advice.
Located at 20 Doveton Street North in Ballarat Central, the upgraded store now features a full-service travel agency. Customers can book everything from tours and cruises to flights, accommodation, airport transfers, travel insurance, and international driving permits.
The store’s dedicated travel team has access to top-tier travel partners including Australian Pacific Touring (APT), Scenic, Intrepid, Journey Beyond, and Princess Cruises.
Craig Peachey, Executive General Manager Leisure at RACV, said the refreshed Ballarat store reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to the region.
“RACV has a strong connection to Ballarat, and this refurbishment makes it even easier for our members and customers to access everything they need—from insurance to home and roadside assistance, to planning their next holiday,” Mr Peachey said.
“We’re excited to now offer complete travel and experience services right here in Ballarat. Whether it’s domestic or international trips, cruises, flight deals, or travel insurance, our team is ready to help,” he added.
To celebrate the opening, RACV has donated $5,000 to Food is Free, a local not-for-profit that promotes food security and sustainable living through community education.
Food is Free founder and director Lou Risdale said the funding will go towards their First Nations Women’s Yarning Garden Group, enabling the purchase of computers and compost bins.
“RACV Goldfields Resort has supported us before, and this new donation helps us continue delivering meaningful programs to the community,” Ms Risdale said.
The new travel services are available Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The upgraded Ballarat store joins RACV’s other regional investments, including the RACV Goldfields Resort in nearby Creswick and new electric vehicle charging stations at 61 Curtis Street.
