Insurance Business has released its 2025 Hot List, spotlighting 70 influential insurance professionals from Australia and New Zealand who have made a major impact over the past year.
The announcement comes as the insurance market in both countries shows early signs of softening. Despite this, key challenges remain — including increased competition, inflation, the adoption of artificial intelligence, regulatory changes, and shifting customer expectations.
Climate change and the need for stronger environmental risk strategies continue to be major themes influencing the industry’s direction.
How the Hot List Was Compiled
The Hot List was created through a mix of industry input and independent research carried out in January 2025. Insurance Business gathered nominations and feedback from across the sector, focusing on individuals who led important initiatives, shaped market developments, or showed strong leadership during complex times.
Out of more than 500 nominees, 70 professionals were selected for their achievements in innovation, organizational performance, and industry influence. Past awards and recognitions were also factored into the decision-making process.
