BMS Group, the independent global specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, has expanded its footprint in the Turkish market through the acquisition of Istanbul-based Oria Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş.
Founded in 2009 and led by Chairman Cenk Erden, Oria has built a strong reputation in Turkey’s insurance sector, with deep expertise in corporate insurance and employee health benefits. The acquisition marks a strategic move by BMS to deepen its capabilities and client reach across the EMEA region.
The newly combined business will operate under the name BMS Group Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş. Both Erden and Oria’s General Manager Remzi Duman will join the board of BMS Turkey, supporting continuity and leadership integration.
Strategic Growth and Local Insight

This deal is part of BMS’s ongoing expansion across Europe and the Middle East. Recent acquisitions include UK-based David Roberts & Partners, Spanish brokerage Rasher, and a planned entry into Dubai’s DIFC (pending regulatory approval).
