Japanese insurance giant Dai-ichi Life Holdings has partnered with global technology firm Capgemini to launch an international digital transformation centre in India.
This new centre will accelerate Dai-ichi Life Group’s global digital transformation by tapping into India’s skilled workforce to boost its IT and digital capabilities. The goal is to strengthen the company’s technology platforms, drive innovation, and improve operational efficiency worldwide.
The partnership initially covers Japan, the United States, and Australia, and will use Capgemini’s expertise in software development, infrastructure modernization, AI and data solutions, and cybersecurity. The centre’s scope can expand to other countries as needed to support Dai-ichi Life Group’s global growth.
“This strategic partnership with Capgemini supports our goal to build strong internal capabilities through our Global Capability Center,” said Tetsuya Kikuta, president and CEO of Dai-ichi Life Holdings. “Using a Build-Operate-Transfer model, we’re speeding up our digital transformation while developing in-house skills in key areas like AI, data, and cybersecurity. This strengthens our ability to deliver innovative solutions across the group.”
The collaboration will focus on co-developing solutions to streamline operations, leverage data analytics and AI, and enhance cybersecurity, all aimed at providing a seamless and improved experience for Dai-ichi Life’s customers.
“Customer service is a vital way to build loyalty and shape brand perception, increasingly driven by technology,” said Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini. “Our partnership is founded on a shared vision to use technology and innovation to not only meet but exceed customer expectations.”
