Taiwanese insurer Shin Kong Life has partnered with Hong Kong-based technology firm AIFT to revolutionize Vietnam’s digital insurance market.
The collaboration aims to build a hybrid insurance ecosystem through Shin Kong Vietnam’s local channels and operational expertise. It also paves the way for Shin Kong Life to expand Taiwan’s digital insurance solutions throughout Southeast Asia. Together, they plan to develop scalable, competitive, and regulation-compliant InsurTech models.
As part of the deal, AIFT will introduce its digital insurance software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, IXT. The platform features modular design, open integration, and an automated rules engine. Combining IXT’s digital capabilities with Shin Kong Vietnam’s market knowledge, the partnership seeks to create a seamless online-to-offline insurance service.
Additionally, AIFT and Shin Kong Vietnam have chosen Chunghwa Telecom Vietnam’s subsidiary to provide data centre and cloud infrastructure support.
Shin Kong Life chairman Mark Wei said the cooperation marks a significant milestone for the international growth of Taiwan’s insurance technology.
